Southern Chile/Torres Del Paine

Here are a few pictures from Brent's trip with Cher's dad to Southern Chile to see the Straits of Magellan, Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales and Torres Del Paine.

This is a picture of the statue in the town square.

The legend is that if you kiss the toe you'll return to Punta Arenas.

Here is the Straits.

This is a picture of the glacier field from the airplane.

These are signs in Punta Arenas that tell you how far cities are from that point. Punta Arenas is the Southern most city in the world.

Here is the glacier at O'Higgins National Park.

This is a sunset in Puerto Natales. I think its about 11:30PM when we took this picture.

These are known as the "cuarnos" of Torres del Paine

Here I am eating a chunk of ice from the glacier.

Here are a few penguins that they saw. We think the one is dying because they usually didn't let you get this close. So yes, they took advantage of a dying penguin to get a picture.
This is a waterfall they saw when they went on a boat to get to O'Higgins National Park
